A graduate of Oxford University, before joining Ince & Co Kevin has acted as an advocate in criminal courts. That experience has provided him with valuable expertise when advising clients whose employees become the subject of criminal investigations and prosecutions.
That same experience benefits clients in relation to other corporate ethics, crime and regulatory matters, especially anti-corruption policies and procedures, on which Kevin provides advice and training to a range of clients across various sectors, including shipping, insurance and the media.
The experience he has gained designing adequate policies and procedures in response to the requirements of the UK’s Bribery Act also apply to the increasing number of stricter anti-corruption laws being introduced worldwide, as well as the possible new offences of failing to prevent tax evasion and corporate crime recently announced by the UK’s government.
Most recently, Kevin has been recognised as a “Rising Star” London Super Lawyers magazine and as a leading lawyer by Who’s Who Legal: Transport in their 2015 and 2016 editions, in the latter of which clients commend his “calm demeanour”. He is also Contributing Editor of Getting the Deal Through’s Shipping Annual Report.
Kevin is dual-qualified as a solicitor and a barrister, and regularly chairs and speaks at conferences on anti-corruption issues.
